Mohit Nijhawan is an Urban Farmer and Founder of Greenu Microgreens. He has trained over 50,000 people across India, inspiring many to start their own microgreen ventures. His mission is to promote healthy living and empower individuals to grow fresh, nutritious food right from their homes.
Mohit Nijhawan is an Urban Farmer and the Founder of Embryonic Greens Pvt. Ltd., under the brand name Greenu. Formerly the Regional Head at Sanofi-Genzyme, he enjoyed a highly successful corporate career before choosing a more meaningful path. In December 2020, after personal losses to cancer made him realize the strong connection between diet and lifestyle diseases, he decided to dedicate his life to promoting healthy, chemical-free nutrition.
Starting with just ₹30,000 and a small rented space in Chandigarh, Mohit built Greenu Microgreens from the ground up. Today, his 500 sq. ft. vertical indoor farm produces around 12,000 trays per location each month across 24 locations in India.
He has trained over 2,00,000 individuals — including 3,500 farmers and 1,000 entrepreneurs — empowering them to start their own microgreens ventures. Mohit’s mission is to inspire healthier living through sustainable farming and to create a movement of self-reliant, nutrition-focused entrepreneurs across India.
